Regular visitors will no doubt have noticed a rather dramatic change to the visual appearance of this blog. EmbeddedGurus has grown dramatically in the last year and so we’ve moved to a better platform (WordPress) to manage the growth. Although the switch over from Blogger has been relatively painless, it’s still necessary for me to manually check all my previous posts making sure they are right. I should have this done in the next few days at which point I will resume regular blogging.
If you’ve posted a comment to my blog in the last week or so it may not have made the transition – for which I apologize.

Could you comment a bit on the issues which compelled the move from Blogger to WordPress? Was it a desire for particular plugins, a template you wanted to use, or something else specific?
My (limited) understanding is that Blogger was dropping support for externally hosted blogs. We also wanted a common look and feel across all the blogs. Finally, I at least, very much wanted a search function. Put it all together and WordPress was the way to go.
Can you make the font smaller? It is way too big, much bigger than my default font.
The transfer to WordPress has certainly done some strange things. Code snippets in particular are an absolute mess. I will try and straighten these issues out in the next week or so, and while I’m at it I’ll look at the issue you’ve raised. Thanks for the feedback!
As recent posts have showed a nicer code-posting option, also keeping indentations correct for comments would be really nice.
As you are using WordPress I suggest to use a nice plugin like CodeColorer (http://kpumuk.info/projects/wordpress-plugins/codecolorer/) which allows much prettier code with linenumbers and even syntax highlighting.
Thanks for the tip Bernhard. I have sent it to the Web Developer who maintains EmbeddedGurus. Hopefully he will be able to install it and the situation can be improved.
